Choose from the available mesh openings and BWG gauges below. The 1/2 inch mesh and 6 ft roll pages show two ways to configure an order; opening and roll width are separate dimensions.
Choose mesh, wire and finish together
Confirm the measured opening, steel-wire diameter, roll width and net length. State whether galvanized or coated wire is needed; for coated netting, specify both steel-core and finished diameter.
Hexagonal wire mesh manufacturing range
Available mesh openings, BWG wire gauges and example applications are shown below. Roll widths range from 0.5 to 2.0 m. Listed roll lengths are 5, 10, 25, 30, 50 and 100 m; longer custom lengths up to 3000 are also offered, with the unit and production format confirmed per order.

Inch and millimetre openings follow the supplied manufacturing chart as nominal pairings. Applications are selection examples, not a performance rating. Confirm wire gauge, coating, support system, measurement method, tolerances and chosen roll dimensions for the actual project.
Specify wire and coating
For galvanized wire, identify the required process and coating specification. For coated wire, give the steel-core diameter, finished diameter and colour; agree the coating process and acceptance method in the quotation. A finished coated diameter alone does not describe the steel wire.
Match the mesh to the application
Hexagonal netting and welded wire are different constructions. Choose by the required opening, wire, rigidity and support arrangement, rather than treating the same opening size as interchangeable. For poultry and garden projects, review posts, gates, ground gaps and local animal risks as a complete system.
Plan bulk orders and packing
List each opening, wire diameter, finish and roll size as a separate order line, with quantity, label and wrapping requirements. Supply the destination port and requested trade term. Minimum order, production schedule, inspection and loading are confirmed in the written quotation for the selected configuration.

Which dimensions should be included in a chicken-wire RFQ?
Send the opening measurement, steel-wire diameter, roll width, net length, finish and quantity. Include a drawing or sample and the measurement method if tolerances matter.
Does a 6 ft roll define the mesh opening?
No. Six feet describes the requested roll width; the opening and wire diameter must be specified separately.
Is coated-wire thickness the same as steel-wire thickness?
No. Specify the steel-core diameter and finished coated diameter separately, along with the required coating process and colour.
Is the netting alone enough for predator protection?
Protection depends on the complete installation, including wire specification, posts, gates, ground details and local animal risks. Confirm the application before selecting the netting.
