Define the model and geometry on one RFQ
Send every supplier the same model, drawing revision, height, horizontal line-wire count, stay spacing, vertical opening schedule and roll length. Include units and agreed tolerances. If a supplier proposes an alternative, list it separately rather than allowing the substitution to disappear inside a revised price.
For example, KUNYU’s published 949-6-330 and 1348-6-330 references both use 6 in stay spacing and 330 ft rolls, but differ in height and line-wire count. The 949 versus 1348 specification guide explains that distinction. A quote for one should not be treated as a like-for-like offer for the other.
Use a comparison table that exposes missing information
Download the blank fixed knot bulk quote comparison CSV. Keep buyer requirements in one column and each supplier’s response in its own column. Retain the quotation number, date and supporting document reference so later changes can be traced.
| Comparison area | Require in each offer | Resolve before selection |
|---|---|---|
| Wire | Line, edge, stay and knot wire diameters; tolerances; tensile requirement | Unspecified components or a different measurement basis |
| Coating | Material, standard, class or minimum mass, wire diameter and evidence | Generic coating descriptions without an agreed basis |
| Roll and packing | Length, net/gross weight, packed dimensions, packing and labels | Different roll lengths or packaging scope |
| Order quantity | Rolls by model, total quantity and mixed-load list | Price based on a different order size or product mix |
| Commercial terms | Price unit, currency, validity, named port/place and included charges | Missing freight, handling or destination cost assumptions |
Blank supplier fields mean “not confirmed,” not zero, included or compliant. The worksheet is a buyer planning template; it contains no market prices, test results or completed batch records.
Specify wire and coating beyond a marketing label
Ask for each wire component separately. A single gauge label may not state whether the edge, line, stay and knot wires share that diameter. Agree on a diameter in a stated unit, tolerance, measurement basis and the tensile requirement with its test method.
For coating, write down the material and acceptance basis. KUNYU’s 1348-6-330 product page lists galvanized and zinc-aluminum options for order review; the requested option must appear in the quote. A coating mass without its standard and wire-diameter basis does not establish a coating class or service-life promise.
Ask what evidence is available and whether it refers to a sample, the proposed material or the actual production batch. If inspection is required, agree on the method, sampling, acceptance criteria and responsibility before placing the order. A factory photograph or general brochure cannot replace an agreed inspection result.
Separate product quantity from packing and freight
Record net product weight and gross packed weight separately, with the units and packing level: per roll, pallet or shipment. Request roll dimensions, rolls per pallet where applicable, pallet dimensions, straps, wrapping and label requirements. These details support warehouse handling and shipment planning; gross weight is not a substitute for a wire specification.
State rolls per model and any posts or accessories in the proposed mixed load. KUNYU’s current product pages state a one-20GP minimum order, with mixed-SKU allocation subject to quotation. Obtain confirmation for the specific order rather than assuming a fixed roll count fits every container. Review the container loading guide with the proposed packing list.
Normalize price only after aligning the scope
Confirm whether the price is per roll, metre, tonne or another unit. For matching specifications, price per metre equals the roll price divided by the confirmed roll length in metres. This calculation makes different price units easier to compare; it does not make different wire, coating or mesh specifications equivalent.
Keep currency, quotation date and validity beside the price. If you convert currencies for an internal comparison, record the exchange-rate source and date separately. Do not overwrite the supplier’s original quote. Ask for revised offers when quantity, packing or the technical specification changes.
Record the trade term, applicable version and named port or place, then itemize included and excluded charges. Use the same destination and shipping assumptions when comparing offers. Ask which freight, insurance, handling and destination charges are included instead of comparing an FOB total directly with a CIF total.
Close the unresolved items before purchase approval
Confirm payment terms, production lead time and the point from which that lead time starts. Keep production timing separate from vessel availability and transit estimates. Request the required commercial, packing, origin and inspection documents by name, with any buyer-specific format or label requirements.
Complete the review with the approved specification, drawing revision, sample reference where applicable, final quotation and written decisions on deviations. Use the fixed knot product range to identify the required model, then submit the completed RFQ fields. Unresolved material or shipping differences should remain visible until the buyer approves them.
Request a bulk fixed knot fence quotation
Send the completed comparison requirements with your model or drawing, quantity by SKU, coating, packing preference and destination port. KUNYU can review the specification and commercial scope for an order-specific export quotation.
